Hi Daniel,

thanks for the vid - great! And interesting site too - so interesting in fact a comment sprang forth from these fingers ;)
Two things, one ironically hilarious, the other where I'm personally at in the 'god' stakes which you might find interesting for a minute or two...

1. American evangelicals prayed for rain for the Obama/Democratic convention in Denver - hurricane Gustav broke the GOP convention - heh heh (http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/8/31/122844/103/530/581188)

2. I came across the word 'Maltheist' the other day and it best explains 'god' to me - I've spent a lifetime 'wondering' then wandering and investigating religion and 'god' - lucky I guess that I grew with the protestant and catholic troubles in Scotland.
Through my travels I've found the religious fundamentalists of all flavours (normally ill-educated) are either off balance or easily lead with no critical thinking switch in their heads - oh, and incredibly irritating :)
Through experience, I'd say there is a 'power' of some sort - the Shamans (American Indian/Siberian/Celt et al) call it the 'spirit, but they have no illusion that it's a predatory force as well as a forgiving one, especially when luck is involved, however they 'live' it probably a bit more than most.

The Buddhists, Ba'Hai and loads of others on the whole are good too, with a great deal in common. I found it hilarious in my youth that Christians are Horus worshipers, same stories just different names (and agendas........) - but the thing that interests me the most right now is quantum physics and how everything is affected by everything else in ways that can't currently be explained - experiments prove there is 'weird stuff' but they don't know what 'it' is, doesn't mean you can't drive the car if you don't understand the engine though does it?

Good luck and enjoy the journey!

Ah, the Amazing Randi! I wonder who will take up the standard and run with it when he retires? His organization still has a cool $1M up for grabs to anyone who can demonstrate (under controlled conditions) actual psychic powers. I'm not sure how long they've been offering it, but apparently no one has even passed the preliminary test yet. It's pretty amusing to read through the log of applicants, though.
