-"From a video stand-point it is not good. There is no consistency in style, the camera is shaky, as if held by someone who has no clue how to handle a moving camera. The music doesn’t fit the mood, it is the type of music the creator of the video enjoys, not the mood of the film. Impatient editing."

Thanks, oh master of all things video editing related!

Not that my home state needs any further reasons to be mocked and ridiculed, the illustrious Ken Ham, in his infinite God-given wisdom, made the decision to open this bastion of ignorance, stupidity and illogic and have the audacity to attribute the once sacrosanct label of "science" to his ridiculous endeavor. I am nonplussed at the very idea that such a misplaced use of money, time and ingenuity can occur in the 21st century. I anxiously await the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Flat-Earth Museum, the Intelligent Falling Institution and the Geocentric Exhibition. "Just put 'em herr iyin Kiyintukkee''

<blockquote>And he replied, “Well… I suppose Jesus killed em’ all.”</blockquote>Wow--Jesus has a living-room full of stuffed dinosaur heads? The mind boggles.

Do you think he had a license for T. Rex? Because it says right on there that you're not supposed to hunt females in laying season.

Why do creationists seem to think that there are the animals that exist now, and then dinosaurs, and that's it? I'm always highly amused by this. There are tons more animals that Noah would have had to put on his ark. Trying to imagine all of these creatures, many occupying the same ecological niches, existing at the same time is, for me, like trying to imagine an infinite universe. It literally makes me dizzy.

Nice video, my only complaint (a small one) is that the music is too loud. It's hard to hear some of the commentary over it.

Of course it's not that hard. I've been doing video editing for years. But I still find it amazing that we have such easy access to this stuff, when 40 years ago it was nearly impossible unless you were rich.

Or maybe I'm just more easily amazed than the rest of you.

"you’re not amazed that college kids can afford all the equipment and software to do this, AND have the skill?"

College kids generally have better access to high quality equipment in their area of study than working adults do. All it would take is for one of them to be friends with a film student and they'd have access to all of the equipment they need. As for skills... well, a lot of people start doing this kind of thing as a kid. There is some know-how involved but it's not THAT hard.

Some friends of mine went there recently- one of them wore a t-shirt that read "Everytime you see a rainbow, God is having gay sex".
She said they were followed pretty closely the whole time by an armed guard and his K-9...

I never paid much attention to young earth creationists or evolution, for that matter, until another blog I occassionally read started posting the history about the wedge theory. These people are pretty serious about getting their theological foot in the door of public schools. I had to do almost "forced" reading on evolution to get a grasp on the sufficiency of the evidence - which is substantial. The problem is it does take some effort (IMO anyway) to understand the evidence. I don't think many Americans have that kind of attention span. So the YECists don't have as much of an uphill battle as they should.

Fortunately though, kids always love dinosaurs. :-)

<i>It’s amazing that a bunch of college kids can create videos that are more interesting than some of the stuff on TV.</i>

Not really. The college kids don't have to worry about placating advertisers, not offending people, appealing to the lowest common denominator, etc. What's really amazing is that there's anything interesting to watch on TV at all.
