Hysterical and nearly unbelievable, though I can see their dilemma. I haven’t gone to confession since I spent 20 minutes with Sue F. in a closet at a h.s. sophomore party.
Even my sainted mother doesn’t go to confession anymore, and she is one of the church’s biggest supporters.

FWIW, I agree with the priest who was interviewed insofar as it is important that humor be an element of faith (if one has it at all). Faith without humor would be soul-crushing.
