there is an asylum for cracked mirrors, a red brick building with ramparts and filled with dressers where face glass rest, will accomodate overextended wardrobe mirrors,
who recover quicker than handmirrors, an entire ward for bedeviled beveled mirrors,
and for those living in the past, the rear-view mirrors.
the attic of the slate-roofed building is the prism for the collapsible spyglasses
and the schizo-binoculars, who usually see eye-to eye on one thing,
and it’s never been the lord of hosts, who is beyond their vanishing point.
yes, the sales gimmicks of rare lichen have been growing on the rock of faith for quite
some time. they begin with the fire of necessity when a savior burns his way across
the sky or field where sheep shall pasture, scorch the living stone until it blossoms
like an old anchor with barnacles of moss, the flaming herbs which soothe an
itchy skin better left behind to hang on eve’s tree for what we want to know may

…an example of how blood religions work, from yahweh to chirst to allah, is what happened
yesterday when i answered roger cohen’s rabble-rousing article in the times called,
city of whispers(teheran), i congratulated him on his revolutionary zeal but pointed
out abjad controlled the army, that youth should be served but not a bucket of blood,
and ended by saying if the young rebels were to light the fire of revolution around the
cold hearth of iranian democracy, they should cut the wood first. the post went into
comments at 9:38, then i watched with delight as it went to the head of comments
on top of the first posting of 9:15, out of time sequence. however, when i checked
back at 1330, the first 9:15 post was there followed by the next post at 9:58, what?
they had taken my comment and the comments around it out. i was and am outraged
that they, an american newspaper just bailed out by a lebanese mexican billionaire,
carlos slim helú, would stoop so low as to put themselves stealthily forward as the midwives
to massacre in mideast iran, to have that agenda is yellow press in every sense of the
word, goes against the charter of dialogue that any newspaper should stand for, and,
i suggest they change their masthead motto, all the news that’s fit to print, to,
all the news that fits(our agenda). for what once was a fine newspaper to stoop so
low and to fall so far from grace is not only a sign of the times but a sign of desperation
for a clique of bridge-burners looking up their sleeves for trump.

books, so the problem with the bible, the torah, the koran is that they are products

and apache echoes mapache/racoon, mexiguana slang for thieving politician.
yes, indeed, a religion whose centerpiece is a torture scene, whose com-mutants
drink blood and chew body would look favorably on torture’s twist. it’s holy, you know,
they probably say to each other in blank awe. there are just some things we can’t
understand about god, the cutter’s mysterious ways, is another.
doesn’t anyone awake from their religious stupor and say: i believe i’ve had enough?

vows repeatedly(is molestation really the promotion ladder to the papal throne?), not only
their vows but the meaning of the founding word for p(r)i(es)t=pitli(N)older sister, from,
pie(N/Lat)=no pick(piety). why, we’re human, they say. is ruining children’s lives part of
their vocation, or is it vacation? clearly they don’t understand logos, much less teotl/teo/theo/deo.
their god must be monopoly, as it is for evangelical quacks also, altho i hate to malign a

the fact, unavoidable, that we get religion and language wrong at every turn in our hurrying
lowway(not highway)through life should tell us we have been given gifts we do not use for
the good of teotl/theother(E), or, ultimately, for ourselves on this shelve we call the blue
planet. if our holy books cannot manage us, it’s time to write new ones: the torah, the koran,
the bible…throw them all away, and let’s start a new page in the history of theocracy,

as the promethean who gave the gifts of deity, fire, language, seeds, music, dance,
even wrestling, the greatest and humblest manager the world has ever seen, and
the most sucessful, neander/new man. it is time for new men/women to take again
