I had to fight down the urge to go and beat them all as righteous retribution for abusing their children... I just wanted to punch them repeatedly in the head while shouting "Where's your God now, arsehole?" I also want to stay out of jail, so I didn't do it. As near as I can tell, I think they're trying to be "prophets" in the Jeremiah tradition: stand up to the evil forces (or whatever they construe as evil--hence, college campuses) and tell them that "the Lord says such-and-so." On most sunny days, we'll have somewhere between 1-4 of these lunatics. They usually attract a crowd around 50 or more at any given time.
