Here’s the fraudulent, unfaithful Todd Bentley using painfully obvious cold-reading techniques:
It’s sad that people fall for that — they think God is telling him things when he’s just using the same old tricks that have been used by frauds and magicians for centuries.

HA! What a hack! I don’t know if I’m more offended by his disgraceful willingness to deceive or his sheer incompetence at it.
That guy is a crock even under “christian standards”, still people follow him. Oh the humanity.
I feel bad for those folks who are so desperate to believe. I’m also frustrated with them for settling for a cheap carny act.
Hahaha – “The Lord release divine healing and remove the metal plates and give him a brand new arm. In Jesus, by the name.” Pushes him away and moves on to the next man.
Anyone wanna check to see if the metal plates are still there? New arm? No? Okay.
It’s only “metaphorical”… or God had something better in store for him… God’s plan is mysterious…. or 1,001 other cliches can be given to stop critical thinking :)
It’s sort of like watching John Edwards, the “psychic”, only more blasphemous.
That is why I don’t want to go to heaven!
It is full of these chosen people from God.
The most concerning part of this video comes around the 6:00 minute mark … Bentley tells a guy to basically give up on his livelihood to embrace some type of healing ministry.
Hey, he’d probably make more money! Sounds like good advice to me. ;)
Holy Shit! Scariest thing I’ve seen since jesus camp. WTF is with the chick howling in the back? she dieing? lol
Maybe she’s realized it’s a fraud and wants to warn others?
Sounds like shes the one having a brain aneurysm.
.
hard to have an aneurysm in a void…
“God tells me someone here, a man here got stuck by lightning in the late 70s early 80s.”
So Gods not to sure here huh. So much for being omniscient… Or Bentley is a fraud like most proclaimed Holy Ghost, God fearing, intense talking SoBs.
Oh and lol at the arm thing. Yeah maybe they can get something on camera for once, oh they can’t? I wonder why.
God probably remembers partying with Rick James at the time and can only narrow it down to the late 70s early 80s.
If this were not being done in the name of religion he would be locked up in an institute for the criminally insane.
barbara, this is from the late ’90’s or early ’00’s. BEFORE Bentley started punching and kicking people in the stomach and head! The guy is a lunatic, and the church he was at in this video, Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship, promoted this kind of behaviour since the mid ’90’s, so-called Toronto Blessing.
Whether or not the reader is competent has an effect. But the desire of the audience members to believe is a huge part of the equation. Since the audience’s “wanting to believe” is more difficult to perceive and judge than the reader’s skills… the importance of the believer’s mind-state is usually underestimated.

I have a metal plate in my arm. I bet Todd a thousand bucks he can’t make it go away.
I have to say I was more impressed with Steve Austin …. :-)
Dude! Fibromyalgia?!?!? It’s real easy to heal something that doesn’t exist. shit.
So, all those neurologists researching the syndrome are wrong? Do you have any evidence for that?
wolf in sheep’s clothing…not the real deal
Is there anyone you know of who IS the “real deal”?
The people that wrote the Bible are. They are the only ones, everyone else is false…. Oh wait that’s rediculous.
Another question. How do I sign up to talk in the forums. I see login, but no register. It is driving me insaine. Also why is it telling me insaine, login, and rediculous are mispelled. Mainly the login question would be great though.
Because they are misspelled. Insane, ridiculous… and “login” is not actually a word, you can highlight it, right-click, and choose “Add to dictionary” from the context-menu.
“Register or sign in” is near the top of the forum page for me. http://unreasonablefaith.com/forum/register.php
If you mean are there some people out there who genuinely believe in miracles and that the Bible is true, sure.
He’s asking a guy who was struck by lightening if his life has changed in any significant ways. WTF?
I’m seriously considering taking up preaching just so i can have millions of followers and millions of dollars.
