  1. Um, I think you linked the wrong video. This is that near-miss crossing-the-street video I recently saw.

  2. This was a pretty darned cool vid though…must’ve had angels watching over him…or is that angles…

  3. Oops, thanks guys!

  4. musta been a robotic bus driver.

  5. Glad I got to see it before you corrected it. Indeed cool.

  6. The hand’s even cooler.

  7. There’s a neat elaboration of this on Mind Hacks. Seems like there’s some interesting phantom sensations going on there.

  8. That is SO cool.

  9. This is how Skynet started…

  10. I give it five minutes before some religious amputee gets ahold of one of those and thanks god for his blessings.

  11. Daniel: The “Why Doesn’t God Heal Amputees” web site you link is incredibly effective if you can get a religious person to sit still long enough to read it. Just asking the question discombobulates ‘em.

  12. Let me hear him speak instead :(

  13. When will they have ones that can rip a truck in two?

    Cuz that’s what I want.

  14. have to say this video makes me kinda sad. Are we not born into the great transition of mankind? The vast swath of truly mind blowing discoveries, cures, breakthroughs etc. seem just around the corner…barely out of our useful reach. Some might also say we are at the tail end of the great age of prosperity – global warming and a long age of human suffering are next…

  15. Yummy, is he hot or what. The hand is really cool though, I wonder what else it can do……

  16. Skynet, here we come!

    But seriously, this is awesome.

  17. Come on now, we ALL know what the first thing we’d do is – we’re talking about a young, virile man who’s been without Mrs. Palm and her five lovely daughters for years! That’s right. He’d be straight down the pub for a game of darts.

  18. It is interesting he is wearing a Gandhi t-shirt. Gandhi was a Luddite.

  19. More things god can’t do, but science does! http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/10/091021012847.htm

  20. Just two things to say:

    1) Luke will be pleased.
    2) I’m not impressed until it can…er….give you a helping hand.
