    Love it :D It’s gone earborn! Lol…

  2. That was… retarded.

  3. It won’t make a difference, those already infected by this virus won’t change. And those that are not infected already know this.

  4. Monkey meme? I wish it was that simple to educate.

  5. This is great!

  6. Birthers. Truthers.

    Meh.

Wack-jobs exist on each end of the spectrum. There are plenty of REAL reasons for me to oppose Obama’s policies, I don’t need make-believe ones.

    • You mean you want people to debate the issues when trowing half ass sh*t you heard from a relieble source, like that dude you met in the supermarket checkout line, is so much more fun.

      • You lost me on the 11th word.

        • So what are your “REAL” reasons? I’m genuinely curious.

          • Briefly, I don’t agree that government intervention to the extent the administration is seeking will solve health-care issues. I also think the bank, auto, and mortgage bailouts did little but prop up failing companies that will likely die anyway. I think the enormous spending by this (and the previous administration) is creating a burden on future generations that will hamper and stifle prosperity. I think the government is seeking to control the marketplace from the top-down, which in my opinion, seldom if ever works; and such control will ultimately hurt us more by preventing innovation and stifling creativity.

Also, I believe Obama is a naif when it comes to international relations, and he is being, and will continue to be, taken advantage of by our friends and enemies at nearly every turn. I don’t agree that the rest of the world wants to be our friend; the rest of the world is looking out for their own interests (as well they should); I don’t believe Obama is acting in the best interests of our country. Instead, I believe he is driven more by a sense of guilt over our perceived mistakes, and will fold like a cheap suit at every opportunity – to the detriment of our country’s interests.

That’s enough for me to oppose him.

            • Dare I ask, when has he been “taken advantage of”, to the detriment of our interests?

            • So you are telling that Bush was doing a far better job?

The problem is that Bush created this mess and that is why the rest of the world hates the US. Obama is trying to clean up this mess, an in order to do this he needs the support from the rest of the world too. Opposing him makes it even more likely that he will fail. Not because he did not try but because the people that he needs the support from are sabotaging him.

Will Obama succeede? Probably not. BUT he is creating a situation where his followers can make it more probably to succeede. The work he is doing now is making it easier for the next president to clean it up. Als NO ONE has the knowledge how to clean the Bush mess up so he will make many mistakes. One of the mistakes is underfunding NASA And even though I do not like that het makes the NASA underfunded, I do respect the work he is doing.

Don’t get me wrong, he is no saint for me. But he is doing a great job ik cleaning up the mess. The US is now moving into a better direction and the US is getting more and more positive response from other countries making his work even faster.

And maybe you have not realized it, but setting the first step for peace, might actually buy some time for other important things.

              • “One of the mistakes is underfunding NASA”

We’re in the middle of a global economy the likes of which we’ve never seen before (thanks to GWB and his cronies). Putting a man on Mars can wait a few years while other priorities get sorted. You can’t bitch about the men spending money on giving people jobs and then also bitch that he’s not spending it on what is, at the end of the day, an unneccesary luxury.

            • “I also think the bank, auto, and mortgage bailouts did little but prop up failing companies that will likely die anyway.”

But it was Bush who took those particular “socialist” actions, so why take it out on Obama?

            • “I believe Obama is a naif when it comes to international relations, and he is being, and will continue to be, taken advantage of by our friends and enemies at nearly every turn.”

Speaking as a well-travelled Euro citizen: We all LOVE Obama. Seriously. Cannot get enough of the guy, happy to do anything to help him. The guy’s a hero to us: at last, after 8 years, a man with a brain in the Whitehouse! The last president? You’d have struggled to find a world leader who would have pissed on him if he was on fire. Maybe if he *wasn’t* on fire, though.

              • Speaking as a well-travelled Euro citizen: We all LOVE Obama. Seriously. Cannot get enough of the guy, happy to do anything to help him.

You do realize that in the bizarro-world that is the heartland of America, those are counts against him, not for him.

              • I agree, the US has no a president that they should be proud of. One with brains and that gets a lot of respect from the rest of the world.

BUT that does not mean that he is a saint. If you notice his speeches and apearances, he does know how to control people and he does know what he is doing. But so far he is using it for the better good for the US. And it is needed because without it the US would be in an even bigger mess.

As you gathered, I am not related to US or UK ;-)

          • I understand your point of view, Olaf, though I do not share it. Nor did I say that Bush did a great job. If you will read my post again, you will see that I did not approve of the previous administration’s bailouts either. If you must know, I think the Bush administration botched it in Iraq for many years, but finally straightened things out in the final year or so of their administration, and that things were not perfect, but were heading in the right direction prior to Obama taking office.

Regardless of our differing opinions, my initial point remains: there are plenty of legitimate reasons to oppose Obama’s policies without resorting to ridiculous fantasies regarding his citizenship. We can differ on our interpretations of the administration’s policies like reasonable people without the need to paint all opponents as crackpots or wackos (I’m not implying that you or anyone else is doing this, I’m referring to the video).

            • Well, I respect you for not being the mouth-frothing anti-Obama type who I usually encounter. Most are willing to spread all kinds of lies and call them truth, a tradition GWB took to new heights of disgusting with that whole Gunboating thing. I never thought it would get worse than that, you know. I was wrong.

  7. Once again I come up with the problem that ‘This video is not available in your country due to copyright restrictions’
Please, please, please remove this from your site and explain your reason to the providers. You must take the moral high ground here, keep the internet free and hit these creeps where it hurts.

  8. twilf ! LOL! Liked the Get SP book for free ad at the bottom too(?)

  9. Custador, thanks for responding so politely to my late night rant. The huffingtonpost link works in the UK and the video is superb.

  10. The birther and truther things are actually quite different. For atheists this should be pretty obvious. If a politician makes a specific claim, we should apply a level of scrutiny proportional to its level of plausibility. If a pol claims to have been spoken to by god, we should reject this until, I guess, he proves that it happened. As if that’s likely.

Sarah Palin’s birth story, which she put on the public record personally, relies on a similar level of supernatural intervention.

Obama, meanwhile, claims to have been born in Hawaii.

    Seems reasonable to me.

    • Wrong!
Even atheists fall for this virus.
Look at those atheists believeing the 2012 end of the world, look at the atheists believing that the LHC will create the black hole and the end of the world. Look at the atheists that believe this conspiracy theory that there is a nanochip in the vaccines, look at the atheists that believe that NASA never landed on the moon.

The same for this terrosits scare and paranoia that people with a camera taking pictures of a dam means that these are terrorists. And that a man taking a picture of a child on the playing ground might be a pedophile (but is the father)….

I have noticed that since 2000, specially through the internet and youtube this virus has spread globally at a very fast pace. At this moment we have a complete generation that is infected with this stupidity virus.

      • You mean the world is not going to end in 2012 because a group of alien terrorists, who have faked the moon landing and been implanting us with nanochips through vaccines, are going to sabotage the LHC so it create a black hole.

      • You can’t mean that…. Hollywood movies are not real?!?!?!?!?! OH NOES!!!!!!

    • Cranks exist across the theological and philosophical spectrum.

  11. Twilf. Hahaha :-)
