Come on Sarah, give your redneck followers what they want (else you might be sorry, remember they have god & guns):
From the video description:
Angry crowd shouts at Sarah Palin at her book signing in Noblesville, Indiana on November 19, 2009 after Palin quits and refuses to sign books for around 300 families that spent about 3+ hours getting wristband and another 3+ hours waiting in line to get the Palin book signed. At Borders bookstore it was announced that 1,000 individuals would be given wristbands and could get two books signed each. By the time Sarah Palin quit, there were still about 300 individuals and there families who did not get even one book signed.

Seems she’s a natural born quitter.
Can’t teach an old dog new tricks!
Oh, boo hoo. Get used to being disappointed, I guess.
Are they saying “One of us!” ?
No, “sign our books.”
Wow. In fairness, trying to sign 2,000 books in an evening sounds like hell.
Is her signature more than an “X”?
Can we count on those 300 people not to vote for her?
That’s our girl, half-assed as usual. Guess the spirit failed her? Or the money wasn’t enough? In a town named Noblesville, you say? Gotta love it!
Amazing how fast their loyalties change.
Howard Stern once signed 10,000 books for his fans. He stayed till every book was signed.
She was probably too busy learning about fruit fly research in Paris, France. I kid you not.
She’ll have a tough time with that. The actual research was going on in Montpellier. But I guess that didn’t sound liberal and gay enough.
Sarah’s side: “Um, I had to again and also move on to the next location to travel and also so and then I was unable to sign their books also, you betcha!”
If they have bought my book they’ve already achieved the level of stupidity needed to vote for me. No need to stay. Next.
What a b*tch! I frakkin hate her.
^ Times one billion.
LRA,
wait a minute, I thought you were “for” powerful, successful women…what gives?
I think it’s kinda like you being for “men pastors” and then not liking Fred Phelps (or if you do like him, pick another pastor you don’t like).
hmmm, looks like a double standard here.
How so? Saying “I like Americans” is not the same thing as saying “I like Jeffrey Dahmer”, even though Jeffrey Dahmer is an American.
That’s sexist and pretty stupid.
Someone disliking Palin based on her actions has nothing to do with their stance on gender equality. The fact that Palin is a women is besides the point. She’s a twat.
“That’s sexist and pretty stupid.”
This is dwade we are talking about here; a person who makes John C look like an intellectual power house …
I always think of him as John C’s retarded little brother.
I wouldn’t necessarily call Sarah Palin powerful or successful. I guess it depends on your definition, but she is definitely not a role model of power or success that I would follow. In fact, she’s exemplified a lot of things that I hate about politicians and the crappy things they do to get ahead.
But this woman ooozes, success. She even makes the republicans nervous….
The real truth here is, she does not support abortion, homosexuality and all the other hot buttons.
The feminazi’s don’t know what to do with her. They are not sure wether they should kiss her or cry.
But this woman ooozes, success.
Your punctuation accident made this sentence awesome.
The feminazi’s don’t know what to do with her.
Who, praytell, are the “feminazis”?
I just laughed so loud after reading the sentence with a elemenopian emphasis.
It would have been even more awesome if he had thrown an exclamation point at the end instead of a period.
thats classic LOL
The only thing she oozes is an example of why all politicians (and all people) should take public speaking in college and take part in a debate team before they attempt to speak on TV…
instead of a period.
Double meaning related to oozes?
Too far?
The feminazi’s don’t know what to do with her. They are not sure wether they should kiss her or cry.
Not really. American feminists have long gotten used to strong, prominent women who work to undercut women’s rights. From Phyllis Schlafly to the Concerned Women of America, it’s an American tradition. There’s a group that sporadically parodies the problem – Ladies Against Women.
I see her doing more for women’s rights than every women’s group that exists.
Why is it that women are the last ones to see this?
Oh, but you see clearly what women need, more clearly than they do.
I see.
I am not a woman but i did stay in a holiday inn express
???
I think this blog needs to require a breathalyzer test before posting.
Nah, he’s just utilizing a joke meme to deflect from the fact that he is in fact a man trying to say “yes, ladies, I know what is better for you than you do. Now go make me a sandwich!”
He’s like a real-life Eric Cartman. Can’t you just hear him yelling, “Now, go make me a PIE!!!!”
Nah, he’s just utilizing a joke meme to deflect from the fact that he is in fact a man trying to say “yes, ladies, I know what is better for you than you do.
Well, that goes a long way to explaining why he has nothing better to do on a Saturday night than troll atheist blogs.
Of course, what’s our excuse?
Uh…well, um, you see, I…um. Yeah, I got nothing. I’m in between playing around with my new PS3 and seeing if the wireless streaming works, but that excuse really doesn’t help my case.
“But this woman ooozes, success.”
So much success that she quits as soon as the remote specter of a corruption investigation is mentioned?
She oozes something, but it ain’t success.
she resigned to campaign for conservatives….it’s already working. She is doing more out of office than she did in office.
very smart lady.
She is doing more out of office than she did in office.
You realize that makes her pretty pathetic, right? Like “the best thing I did at my job is I quit!” sort of pathetic.
This is par for the course for dwade. er crossdresser, er crossroads whatever name hes using.
very smart lady.
You betcha. She probably has an iq of 80 or something, which by conservative standards is a genius. Of course, compared to an average human she’s a f*king retard.
Yup. That about sums up my feelings about her.
Keep graspin’ at those straws, you might just get one yet.
I know it’s shocking for you people who live off absolutes, but admiring powerful women does not equal admiring all powerful women. I high-five Carly Fiorina for getting as far as HP CEO but still think she’s an arrogant twat.
Then again, between Palin and Fiorina, the choice is rather obvious.
Feminist know *exactly* what to do with a woman who represents every negative cliche of women from the 1950s, who wants to deny women rights over their own bodies, who is so right-wing that she might actually be a fascist and who is in the lowest 5% of intellectual capacity (including people who are actually retarded).
They ignore her or they ridicule her.
haha, just caught that…
Womens libbers to answer your question
What is a “libber”?
I think he meant “livers”
BTW, what do you mean “just caught that”? You WROTE it.
dwade/crossroad is drunk on the holy spirit, that’s why he speaks in tongues sometimes around here (we see it as poor Christian apologetics & amusing opinions, but translated through the AWESOME HOLY SPIRIT FILTER you can see it for all its PRAISE JESUS awesomeness).
zactly
Oh, so that’s dwade? Well, now it all makes sense. I didn’t realize that dwade had other posting aliases.
the misplaced comma
dwade,
I don’t vote for politicians because they are male or female, or black or white, or older or younger. I vote for politicians that are smart and have policies with which I agree. I think that McCain would have been better off with Kay Bailey Huchison if he really wanted a female running mate. Sarah Palin is too stupid and incompetent to be one breath away from being the leader of the free world. I mean, really… McCain is crumbling into dust right before our eyes, so no thanks on the chance that she might actually get into the White House.
ps. I wonder how her state’s abstinence only sex ed program worked out for her? Oh, yeah. It didn’t.
Hey, abstinence is 100% effective!
It’s just something like 3% practiced. Seriously, abstinence only sex education is a dismal failure -everywhere- it’s been tried.
zactly!
just hold it potty training!!
HAHAHAHAHA where’s the Facebook “Like” button when you need it?
I struggle to not lose my temper with that.
Sarah Palin, a woman who herself got pregant while young and out of wedlock thanks to being educated in the “abstinence only” method, then has a 15 year old daughter who does exactly the same thing, and yet she still claims abstinence only sex-ed is effective! What. The. Hell? I mean, how willfuly stupid is it possible to be?
I didn’t know that SHE got prego before getting married… I love the hypocracy. Why didn’t they make a bigger deal out of that during the election?
Probably because she married him right afterwards, and that made it okay with God, or some shit like that.
Which is exactly what her daughter was going to do (perhaps being forced) but alas it didn’t work out. Again, not widely covered in the news.
The best thing her daughter could do would be to take her child and get as far away from Sarah and Todd as possible. To my mind, the most terrible thing she’s done is to deliberately get pregnant in her forties. Sorry ladies, I don’t want to be a chauvanist, but when you’re past forty the likelihood of having a severely physically or mentally disabled child goes from being rare to being routine – though to be fair in Palin’s familly mental retardation is pretty normal anyway.
Literally, the risk for Downs syndrome if a woman is over 40 is about 1 in 7 according to my doctor.
Maybe they are trying to join the quiverfull movement???
Evidence plz.
@ Siberia:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1498513/Women-warned-of-risks-in-epidemic-of-late-childbirth.html
“Men’s and women’s fertility falls with age but the development of IVF may have lulled women into thinking that any problem will be easily solved, they say.
They point out that 70 per cent of women who have one attempt at IVF do not achieve a live birth and that rises to 90 per cent in women over 40. Children of older men, they add, have an increased risk of schizophrenia and several genetic disorders.”
It seems the same applies to older fathers!
It’s called “mouthing the right words to please the right people”.
Didn’t work so well for her either, but still.
Feminists in the UK had the same problem with Thatcher – a powerful, determined woman who should have been a figurehead but ended up taking the movement backwards rather than forwards.
I do hope the Republicans are stupid enough to run Palin in 2012.
Hold on a second there, you may not have liked Thatcher’s policies but please don’t compare her to Palin … the really are not the same at all.
Nope. Thatcher was intelligent enough to actually be evil. Palin is just an ignorant, mouthy little puppet.
Hold on, they were shouting “sign our books!”
I thought they were saying “We are Kooks!”
Hmph, at least she made it through most of her term, I mean signing. 70% isn’t bad for a quitter.
It’s a C average, passing =)
If Obama was doing a book signing in the ghetto, would you refer to locals are homeys?
How is that even a relevant question?
I believe MarkD is taking umbrage with the usage of the term “redneck” in connection to supporters of Palin and is alluding to the term as a racist term that unfairly stigmatizes her supporters. Perhaps Daniel should have referred to her supporters merely as “idiots.”
Fair point.
All I can say is, if Sarah Palin is on the GOP ticket in 2012, I will have officially lost all hope for that party.
At my core, I’d really like to vote for a fiscal conservative — but not with all the other baggage that the GOP carries with it. Pile Palin’s problems on top of typical GOP baggage, and you’ve got a surefire disaster in the White House.
Gulker, I could hug you. If Palin is the straw that breaks just one Republican back into deserting them for the Democrats or and independent, then I will be a happy man.
Heh, don’t get me wrong. I’m not at all a Republican.
At my core, I’m both a fiscal conservative and a bleeding heart liberal.
I’m a walking contradiction. But right now, the Repubs make me want to scream. They have something valuable to offer (fiscal conservatism) but so many other problems that it’s near impossible to vote for them.
Hey, I’m a fiscal conservative and a social liberal too. I’ve been a lifelong Democrat (and was a yellow-dog in ‘92), but sometimes, the Dems make me scream in frustration–it’s like watching your favorite football team find ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I always wonder why congressional dems can’t get their collective fecal matter together the way the repubs (usually) do.
Palin is a very delusional megalomaniac…possibly a sociopath. She doesn’t have the ability to question her actions. If something does not go her way, it’s because someone evil was trying to stop her, not because her approach was wrong. She is not concerned with evidence, or knowledge. She speaks small lies constantly because they sound good, but her true history is one of corruption and abuse of office. She follows Reagan but knows nothing about him…she follows the conservative idealized version, not the Reagan who raised taxes when necessary, and appeased enemies when necessary. She has yet such charisma that she may well rend the GOP in twain. She sunk McCain’s campaign by driving away independents, and if she gets support at the primaries it will only further reduce the GOP to a fringe party.
She should have had her friendly double stand in for her. Calling Tina Fay!
