depicted as white Habiru invaders

That doesn't mean anything. The Egyptians didn't seem to have any racial consciousness. They frequently depicted themselves as red or yellow skinned.

Actually, the first blue eyes occurred in Syria about 6,000 years ago, and I assure you, there are PLENTY of blue-eyed Jews, like myself, whose DNA says that their ancestry goes back to the middle east. As for being, non-white, please check out the short, heavily bearded, depicted as white Habiru invaders that vexed the Egyptians for a time.

I'm always amazed when I am made aware of yet ONE more reason why the christian story is so positively ludicrous. I never really thought about the child-abuse perspective. Good one!

Love the poem. I so wish I could write poetry.

No one wants a nappy haired Jesus

some may - everyone has their own personal Jesus. It is likely Jesus never existed, so it really does just come down to each person's individual incarnation of what that figure is, means etc. For some Jesus may have had nappy hair in their mind - and that is a perfectly fine fantasy to have. People will take this as a personal insult to them, because you are attacking their personal Jesus.
