So, it isn’t just Christians who mistake him for a true believer.
The first of his videos I saw was ‘An Atheist Meets God’, but since I stopped watching about 20 seconds in… A while later, I saw the one about ‘resisting the urge’ and discovered it was by the same person. Mind – officially blown. O_O
Eddie is an atheist who does a hilariously good job of satirically portraying evangalizing Christians. Here he’s making fun of the circular proof of God with his T-shirt gimmick. :)
Don’t be – I think everyone gets fooled the first time. Fundies are so ludicrous that it’s often impossible to tell what’s satire and what’s not. Check out Current’s vids on Youtube – hysterical.
“Poe’s law (religious fundamentalism) — ‘Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humour, it is impossible to create a parody of fundamentalism that someone won’t mistake for the real thing.’ named after Nathan Poe who formulated it on christianforums.com in 2005. Although it originally referred to creationism, the scope later widened to religious fundamentalism.”
I didn’t really find the first episode comedic at all – depressing would be the word for it – but it definitely gets better. It’s a weird little series.
Anyway, thanks a lot for distracting me from writing my english essay due tomorrow! (No, I can’t tell if I’m being sarcastic either…)

I’d like to see if he could answer the stone paradox with a shirt, but I have a feeling it’s going to be more pathetic than his attempt to prove god.
You do realize this is satire, right?

I love the Worship Me….. Or Else! Just brilliant
Is it me or does the “Or else…” graphic look a lot like goetse?
goatse. As in goatse.cx
And yeah, I thought that, too.
This guys is really good. But I have to say, he’s not nearly as good as Jesus People: http://www.jesuspeoplefilm.com/
Here’s the original miniseries, part 1 on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ya84HnPAlnY

The satire is amusing, but at the same time I keep thinking about all the harm that these fundies do to the world.
