To the quarantine issue ~ Why would being gay be an issue in the Christian heaven?
Is there going to be a lot of sexing and procreating in heaven? Sexual reproduction, to put it succinctly.
My guess is that the answer is typically no (excluding Latter Day Saints).
This guy said God loves gay people. It’s the gay sexing that is naughty. It doesn’t allow reproduction – it isn’t how humans are “designed,” etc.
So even if everyone is constantly having sex in heaven, if there is no reproduction, gay sex wouldn’t be bad in heaven.
Unless sex doesn’t happen in heaven. In which case, being gay wouldn’t be bad in heaven because God loves gays.
Remember: It’s the gay sex you have on Earth for which He lovingly chooses to send you to a realm of eternal torture filled with agony beyond your human imagination.
Go back and read your Bible again. Properly this time (Old AND New Testament). You will find God does condemn Homosexuality as He condemns ALL sin.

Apparently as far as the “ex-gay” contingent is concerned these days you need merely *identify* as straight or “ex-gay” to no longer be considered a filthy homo. This seems to be their reaction to the APAs recent announcement/re-affirmation that “ex-gay” therapy is a sham and that sexual orientation cannot be changed.
Basically it’s the same BS in a different wrapper. You don’t “change” your orientation or yourself. You just “change” the label you apply to yourself and viola! You’re suddenly something else.

But honestly, not that I agree with him or am I homophobic, but I think that it could be possible for a homosexual person to become heterosexual. So he could have become heterosexual. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was still gay, but I don’t think acting camp always means someone is gay.

I’m pretty sure someone could. Not that I’m advocating for it, or calling homosexuality a choice (I really don’t know, but it could possibly be a choice for some people and innate in others) but depending on the situation I believe anyone could change sexual orientation. Prison is a good example.
It’s kind of tricky there. Is sexual orientation solely defined by who you do it with? I know, or rather learned about in a “gender studies” class in college, that there is a fringe group of feminists who reject all patriarchy and supposedly “choose” to be lesbians. I also have a friend who thinks deep down, all women are more likely to have sex (happily) with another woman than men are likely to have sex (more like necessity, as in your prison example) with another man, that is, a straight woman in the free world wouldn’t reject a homosexual encounter as emphatically as a man would. And for that matter, it’s less likely (or seems less likely) that a woman would be labeled a lesbian or bisexual unless she labels herself simply for the act; for example, 3-ways or other exhibitions for the entertainment of men.
I’m a little out of my depth here, not having had any of that, nor finding myself attracted in the least to women. I’m a little discouraged by my friend’s ideas, since I’m actually repulsed personally at the idea of kissing or doing it with another woman — he thinks I’m deep down lying about that, and would, given the opportunity. I am not repulsed with whatever other people do of the same sex or otherwise – I consider homosexuality within myself as among other things I really will not do, no matter how much someone persuades me, such as sleep with a guy I don’t like, or prostitution. Someone else might and I don’t care what they want to do.
I think a person can delude themselves enough to choose to have sex with whomever they think they ought to (or need to), but that doesn’t change their orientation.
Well, as far as I remember – correct me if I’m wrong – the Kinsey study found most people to be somewhat bisexual, with very few people on the extremes. In that sense, it doesn’t sound weird to me that some people might switch – it’s not that they’re ‘cured’, it’s just that they’re tuning their bisexual tendencies to another gender.
Also, Kodie, I suppose with males there’s a lot to do with social stigma and perception of masculinity/femininity. Just check how many comments here say this dude’s gay simply because he acts camp – which doesn’t prove anything, really (yes, I include myself in this). I know some might be in jest, but the male image of homosexuality is highly discouraging for males, not so much for females. A girl who kisses another girl isn’t less feminine because of that, males might even think it’s hot. A dude who kisses another dude also kissed his masculinity goodbye in the eyes of the people. Which is ridiculous. I suppose a lot of those emphatic rejections are also due to the fear of being thought of as gay, rather than desire/lack of desire itself, unlike with the girls.
There was a video on youtube which said that you could only change the sexual conduct of a gay person not the sexual orientation. This is definitely a cause which proves that I guess.

Why is christianity so upset with how people live their lives in privacy? How can they be so blind to ignore the intolerance and hatred(which are both prohibited in the New Testament!….and this is the sin that was commanded against) that pervades everything they say and stand for??!! The funny thing is that the term “abomination” in the Bible does not mean something abhorred by God. Rather, it refers to something outside of Jewish ritual. For example, eating pork is also an abomination. The act of eating pork is not considered in of itself sinful, but it is not part of the Jewish tradition.

That is the gayest straight guy I’ve ever seen. And I have many gay friends, none of them came from fatherless families or were sexually abused at any time in their lives. One is still messed up with the conflict from his religious back ground and his homosexuality. Another grew up in a Mennonite i.e religious nut jobs, and left when he came to terms with his sexuality. His long term partner is from a family that has no issue with his sexuality. They are very happy. I know flamboyant gay men that scream “Gay” from 20 feet and others that are just guys. I have been to gay bars, that my friends insisted I Had to go to. They are very loud. They guy in the video is perfect for any gay bar in Chicago. In fact, he needs and intervention and should be forced to go!!

I have an acquaintance at least as gay as this, if not gayer. He also has a wife and son. And severe depression. It breaks my heart that he can’t just say what everybody knows anyway.
I assumed this was going to be a comedy bit, and now that I’ve watched it (jumping through it) I’m still not sure. If I as a straight man was going to instruct another man on how to seem stereotypically gay, I would a) find a handsome guy, b) tell him to talk like this guy talks, and c) make him wear that whatever it is on his neck.
FYI, that whole “guys can be effeminate without being gay” is not a good excuse. The fact is, roughly nine out of ten guys who act camp are, in fact, gay. Gay-until-proven-straight is not an unreasonable assessment.
On another note, I’ve seen lots of guys who said that they used to be gay – were gay as long as they can remember! – and are straight now. So where are the guys who used to be straight, then turned gay? No “ex-gay” can ever seem to recall a time in his life when he used to be attracted to girls before he suddenly got interested in guys instead.
