Well, hello. I'm Jonathan, and I'm a student working on the cruddy, unfashionable end of Surrey in the UK (Surrey is the sickeningly upper-middle-class county just to the east of London, and I'm on the crappy working-class end of it.)
People are generally rational-ish around here (although there's the occasional crackpot - a few of whom I've had the misfortune of running in to) and I suppose you could call me an ex-moderate-Christian-turned-moderate-atheist, since around a year and a bit ago I came to the conclusion that if god existed, he was probably an utter bastard. I'm generally not too loud about it, since here we don't generally have people who will disown you or murder you if you say you don't believe in god.
I've read Unreasonable Faith for a long time (longer than I can be bothered to remember in exact terms) after being led here from several other sceptic/atheist sites (Pharyngula, IIRC). I also like Unix, mathematics, code, film, and watching current affairs. I have my own blog and am on Twitter. </shameless self-promotion>
Whenever I go near computers, they have a strange habit of self-destructing.
