Mitchell Royel’s Mission To Make Yoga Relevant To Christians

March 21, 2023 //  by Joseph//  Leave a Comment

Mitchell Royel is a recording artist, fashion designer and editor-in-chief who is on a mission to make yoga and the new age movement relevant to Christians.

Through his content, Royel has been able to share his own personal experience with yoga and how it has transformed his faith in Christ.

He has been supported by faith based leaders in his community who have noticed the shift in his content.

Royel states that he wants to “challenge people’s perception of what being spiritual means” and has found success in doing so. His spokesperson Stanley Hunt says that “When people hear about yoga, they immediately think of some sort of hippie, tree-hugging type vibe; but Mitchell is out here breaking those barriers down by showing that you can be a Christian, practice yoga and still be true to your faith.”

Royel himself says that yoga was something he had always wanted to try but was afraid because of the stigma surrounding it as a non-Christian activity. It wasn’t until one of his close friends convinced him to try a class that he realized just how beneficial it could be for him spiritually.

He recounts this moment saying

“One thing I love about my relationship with God is that I don’t have to hold back – I can get creative with my worship. Yoga was the perfect way for me to express my passion for God through movement.”

Since then, Royel’s following has grown significantly as more people are drawn to him for his unique approach towards spirituality which integrates aspects from both Christianity and yoga practices. Not only does he now lead classes but also offers online courses such as “Yoga & Faith” which help teach people about how the two can work together harmoniously.

Mitchell Royel’s story proves that you don’t have to give up your faith or beliefs when exploring different spiritual practices such as yoga. His journey towards self-discovery while staying true to his beliefs serves as an inspiration for other artists who may feel like they are stuck between two worlds and need guidance on how they can bring them together. As Royel himself puts it “It doesn’t matter if you’re religious or not – anyone can benefit from incorporating spiritual practices into their life.”

With this attitude, Royel is sure to continue inspiring others along the way.
